CAT-500 special is levigated micronized surface-treated clay specially developed to provide the following properties: - |

(1) PAINTS :- Provides and enhances anti-settling property in solvent based paints, excellent dispersion. |
(2) POLYMERS :-
| • Rubber : |
Serves as substitute for activated Precipitated Calcium Carbonate with good compatibility / dispersion in base polymer, low specific gravity of finished product. |
| • Plastics : |
Serves as substitute for activated precipitated calcium carbonate, low specific gravity of finished product (e.g. in RPVC pipes, it can be used in place of activated calcium carbonate with minor modification in formulation without reducing the wall thickness like other mineral fillers). |
CAT-500 has all the above properties but has red tone, so it is meant mostly for use in primers or other formulations where whiteness is not important. |
