The product is a natural Barium Sulphate having excellent whiteness. It finds wide spread use as a heavy inert filler due to its high bulk density, insolubility in water, resistance to acids and alkalies, low abrasiveness and high refractive index.

It is a good extender for primers having good filling properties and provides high chemical resistance and smoothness to under coats.
